Kodaks Health Group will also preview new software for digital mammography designed to help radiologists detect cancer at an early stage. The digital imaging system for taking breast imaging exams has entered the final phases of regulatory review in the United States. Kodaks mammography feature equips users of its most popular computed radiography (CR) imaging systems with the special requirements needed to produce mammography exams. In conjunction with this imaging solution, Kodak will demonstrate as a work in progress software that identifies suspicious areas on mammographic exams so radiologists can closely examine these regions for possible disease during a second review. This software can be a valuable tool in the fight against breast cancer by helping radiologists detect cancer at an early stage.
