I am Akane Naka from Japan,
an intern at DOTmed.
You can read my
diary every week here in
DOTmed News
As many of you know by now, we just published the first issue of "DOTmed Business News," our new monthly magazine.
We worked on it hard under a tight deadline to get the first issue out, and it was the first time for lots of us to work on a magazine. At the meetings, several opinions and ideas were flying, and we discussed a lot all the time. DOTmed team is very excited about the magazine. We hope you really appreciate it. We look forward to doing a monthly issue from now on!
Changing the topic, I happened to see a live cooking demonstration at a kitchen store last Saturday. (I always enjoy stopping by kitchen stores to see useful tools.) Although I sometimes watch cooking programs on TV, I have rarely come across the live demonstration. Some demonstrators talk better than they cook, and the one I saw this time was exactly that kind of person.

She was good at talking and explaining about the dish she made, however, she was a little bit awkward with cooking. The funny thing was that she added too much sauce into the pan and just laughed it away and made a joke of it. The audience all realized she did it wrong, because it was obvious. Actually, I admired her because she was good at adjusting her thinking quickly. Well, needless to say, only a few people tried to taste the dish after that...not me...
Overall, I had a good time, and it was a good opportunity for me to see the demonstration and learn several things - how to cook, how to talk and how to make a joke in English! (Am I sarcastic or what?)
