MIDDLETON, WI, 28 November 2016 – Standard Imaging, Inc., a global leader in radiation quality assurance for cancer treatment, announced the official release of LinacViewTM, a new QA software program that provides real time logfile monitoring. LinacView analyzes machine performance for each fraction without impacting the clinic’s work flow.

Requiring no external hardware and featuring an easy five-button software interface, LinacView provides an effortless solution for improving patient safety. "The software is fully customizable and most of the work is done automatically behind the scenes," said President & CEO Ed Neumueller, "Plus, it’s billing compliant."

By using a listener program, logfiles are automatically transferred from the linac to LinacView, where they are analyzed in real time - during treatment. This allows the software to alert the physicist as soon as an error occurs, allowing staff to respond before the patient even leaves the couch. LinacView is capable of detecting a wide variety of errors, and monitors all critical beam parameters up to 25 times per second with 0.01 mm accuracy.
This real-time monitoring feature makes LinacView a natural pair for Adaptivo, Standard Imaging’s new patient dosimetry software. When used together, the programs provide everything needed for a complete picture of both machine and patient QA during treatment; all with little effort from the user.

"Using LinacView is as easy as loading your RT Plan and delivering beams," continued Neumueller. The software also provides Summary RT Plans and convenient PDF reports. It is scheduled for release in Q4 of 2016.
