In memory of Bill Murdock

July 17, 2017
Bill Murdock
William Murdock, 51, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He graduated from Bloom Carroll HS in Carroll, Ohio. Bill proudly served in the United States Navy for ten years as a Fire Controlman. He was a decorated war veteran of Operation Desert Storm, stationed on the USS Eisenhower and USS Deyo. His decorations include the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Award, the Battle "E" Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Bill enjoyed hiking the outdoors and was a self-proclaimed bonfire master. He happily volunteered for the USO DC Metro and UCM, was a member of the Friends of the National Zoo and a Colonnade member of George Washington's Mount Vernon. While he loved world travel, Bill was happiest when he was traveling to spend time with his family.
