AAMI & IAMERS, best practices

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | July 19, 2017
AAMI is partnering with IAMERS to work on a 'Best Practices' protocol.

I have attended a lot of IAMERS meetings over the years, and this is always an important topic. Diana Upton, the President of IAMERS always stresses to the membership, how important it is to adopt a Best Practices regimen.

Sometimes, independent service companies get a black eye in the market. But I have found that IAMERS members make an effort to provide quality service.

There is an ISO initiative within IAMERS as well.

IAMERS members have to pay to be members, and that money is used to research and make suggestions that will benefit the members and their customers.

It is important to note that IAMERS is primarily a Diagnostic Imaging Association, and there are many companies that specialize in non-imaging technology that would not benefit from joining IAMERS and still provide first class service.

Did you mean to say "would benefit from joining IAMERS..."?

Thanks Mudi,

There are many companies that don't deal in diagnostic imaging and therefore may not benefit from IAMERS membership.

I do not want to imply that just because a company is not an IAMERS member that they don't follow best practices or slight those companies in any way.

IAMERS is not for everybody however I do believe that everybody benefits from IAMERS activity.
