Mortsel, Belgium - 28 November 2017 (RSNA 2017, Booth #3300) Agfa HealthCare announces today that it has presented two Supplier Excellence awards at RSNA 2017, to Barco and Qaelum. Diagnostic display supplier Barco has been named Best Supplier, while radiation dose management software company Qaelum has been given the award for Most Committed Supplier.
Recognizing suppliers' outstanding performance and commitment
Agfa HealthCare's Supplier Excellence awards are based on Supplier Scorecards that take into account quality, delivery, cost and services. In addition, a cross-functional stakeholder survey on the nominated suppliers is carried out, and the resulting scores taken into consideration. Results are reviewed by an awards board comprised of Agfa HealthCare's Management Committee.

Second award for Barco
Best Supplier Barco provides diagnostic display systems that improve clinician productivity through enhanced ergonomics and workflow improvements. This is the second year that long-term supplier Barco has been recognized: in 2015, Barco received the Best Supplier Silver award. The company continues to make an exceptional contribution, and in 2017 achieved the highest score for the performance data metrics.
"Barco is as committed as we are to developing innovations that enhance the workflow of healthcare providers and help them to constantly improve the delivery of patient care," says James Jay, president imaging IT solutions at Agfa HealthCare.
Qaelum shows on-going commitment
This is the second year that Agfa HealthCare has presented the Most Committed Supplier award. Qaelum - whose DOSETM solution* enables patient radiation dose monitoring, analysis and improvement in imaging - was recognized by Agfa HealthCare's teams as providing commitment that goes "above and beyond" expectations. Qaelum is very responsive to requests from Agfa HealthCare, and has appointed dedicated people to support the company. Finally, Qaelum and Agfa HealthCare have worked together to tune the business model to meet the needs of Agfa HealthCare's customer hospitals, in order to deliver the most value.
"With Qaelum's exceptional commitment, we successfully work together on solutions that allow medical imaging departments worldwide to meet ALARA-compliant (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) X-ray imaging protocols, as well as optimized workflows and quality assurance," says Willy Rose, Head of Marketing IT Europe, Agfa HealthCare.
