The Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI) has announced a research funding opportunity for Innovative Projects in Radiation Oncology. This new request for proposals (RFP) was developed from the responses to the question that ROI asked ASTRO Annual Meeting attendees to answer: “How do we improve our ability to get radiation to the patients who need it?”
The following topics were identified as areas of need for radiation oncology and the ROI is seeking projects focused on: financial toxicity and cost; access to treatment and support services; awareness, education and marketing; and hypofractionation and SBRT.
Residents and Fellows are eligible to apply and multiple awards will be made totaling up to $200,000. Applications are due March 1, 2018.
