The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) just launched two new career development awards, in collaboration with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF). The ASTRO-BCRF Career Development Award to End Breast Cancer will award one early-career investigator with $100,000 per year for two years. The ASTRO-PCF Career Development Award to End Prostate Cancer will similarly award one early-career investigator with $75,000 per year for three years.
ASTRO is also working with the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) to award one resident or post-doctoral fellow in medical physics the ASTRO-AAPM Physics Resident/Post-Doctoral Fellow Seed Grant. This grant provides $25,000 for a one-year research period.
Applications for all three of these new grant opportunities, in addition to ASTRO’s Residents/Fellows in Radiation Oncology Research Seed Grant, must be received by April 8th, 2018 at 11:59 PM Eastern time. All applications must be submitted through ProposalCentral.
