ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.– The American Society of Radiologic Technologists will donate $5,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Michael Relief Fund to assist with disaster relief efforts in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. The donation is on behalf of the ASRT's 154,000 members.
"Hurricane Michael caused an incredible amount of damage and residents in the affected areas have a long road to recovery in front of them," said ASRT Chairman of the Board Amanda Garlock, M.S., R.T.(R)(MR). "We're confident our contribution to the Red Cross will provide crucial support for those individuals in need of assistance."
ASRT has a close relationship with the American Red Cross as the Society believes the best way to support those in need is through donations to an established disaster relief organization. ASRT has made a number of financial donations to the American Red Cross in the last several years for hurricane, tornado and flooding disaster relief efforts.
