White River Junction, VT – The VA Medical Center in White River Junction welcomes Dr. Kevin Llewellyn, Neuroradiologist, to their facility. Neuroradiology is a subspecialty of radiology focusing on the diagnosis and characterization of central and peripheral nervous system abnormalities including those affecting the spine, head, and neck, using neuroimaging techniques.
Dr. Llewellyn was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Medicine from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. After training as a transitional intern with Carilion Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA, he completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of Iowa. His fellowship training focused on head and neck imaging and pathology. Dr. Llewellyn returned to North Carolina as a partner at Triad Radiology Associates in Winston-Salem, NC, where he also served on the group’s Executive Committee. Dr. Llewellyn first joined the VA in 2016 at the Greenville Health Care Center in Greenville, NC, under the Durham VAMC umbrella.
“Since coming to the White River Junction VA, I’ve enjoyed close collaboration with our Neurology service but also with the many other services we offer here,” says Dr. Llewellyn. “Offering neuroradiologic imaging for our Veterans allows us to further tailor our imaging exams to the specific diagnostic questions the referring physician is asking.”
