Its 82 cm gantry supports patient comfort, while its medical technical radiology assistants (MTRAs) prepare and perform scans through tablets attached to the scanner by magnets. The protocols established through myExam Companion help smooth differences in experience between medical technical radiology assistants for high-quality results in difficult diagnostic exams.
“MyExam Companion asks questions, such as if you have a stent, and adds information from the patient themselves, such as heart rate, to optimize the protocol for the patient,” said Belohlavek. “It means we are optimizing the clinical outcome but also the dose to the patient.”

Among other new innovations were AI-RAD Companion Brain MR for Morphometry Analysis and AI-RAD Companion Prostate MR for Biopsy Support. The former automatically segments and measures the volume of the brain in MR images to aid neurologists in diagnosis and treatment, while the latter automatically segments the prostate in scans and enables radiologists to mark lesions for targeted biopsies.
