STOCKHOLM, June 2, 2020 – Elekta (EKTA-B.ST) announced today that Richard Hausmann, President and Chief Executive Officer, has decided to resign for personal reasons with immediate effect. Elekta’s Board of Directors has initiated a recruitment process and has appointed Gustaf Salford as Acting President and CEO effective from today.

Dr Laurent Leksell, Chairman of the Board, said: “We are grateful for Richard’s contributions to Elekta over the past four years. He has successfully driven, among other things, our strategic innovation agenda supporting our future growth, including the introduction of our breakthrough clinical solution, Unity. Gustaf Salford has held senior management positions in Elekta for eleven years and, until today, the position as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Johan Adebäck, Group Treasurer, with more than 15 years’ experience from senior Finance management positions in Elekta, has been appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer.
