Toshiba American Medical Systems, Inc's new RADREX-I X-RAY SYSTEM, which debuted at the RSNA in Chicago, introduced automated features created to reduce overall procedure time, while allowing customers to enhance workflow and increase patient throughput.

According to Toshiba press data, these unique features include Autotracking, Autocollimation, Autoprogram and Autopark components.

---Autotracking provides tube and detector synchronization for table and wall stand tracking. This feature saves time by eliminating the repetitive need to manually position the X-ray tube and detector.

---Autocollimation automatically selects the correct collimation size for the patient's body part, again saving crucial time.

---Autoprogram Select choses the correct program for each specific X-ray procedure instead of manually doing so.

---Autopark raises the X-ray tube out of the way of the examination, giving patients room to safely sit or stand up following the procedure.

"This robust system includes features necessary for imaging a variety of patients, from pediatric to bariatric, making it an ideal, cost-effective X-ray system for hospitals and imaging centers," notes Robert Micer, director/X-Ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba.
