Ed Sloan to Retire From ReMedPar

by Robert Garment, Executive Editor | January 09, 2008
Ed Sloan,
The Founder of
ReMedPar
Ed Sloan announced to the employees of ReMedPar at their Goodlettsville, TN headquarters on Tuesday of this week that he will be retiring from the company.

Mr. Sloan founded ReMedPar 20 years ago, and through his vision and drive, led the company to become the leading medical imaging parts dealer in America. Mr. Sloan is considered by many in the medical equipment business to be one of the true giants of the industry.

In recent years Mr. Sloan had, by this own choice, ceded an increasing amount of responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the company to others. Feeling that "the time was right," and that the company was well-run and headed in the right direction, he finally made the decision to step down. Mr. Sloan has several grandchildren and looks forward to the time he will now be able to spend with them and the rest of his family.

Mr. Sloan, however, will maintain a relationship with ReMedPar, and will continue to contribute his advice and experience going forward. DOTmed News expects to be able to interview Mr. Sloan in the near future to discuss his past, present and future.
