Today, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and its Board of Directors welcome Melissa B. Pergola, Ed.D., R.T.(R)(M), FASRT, as ASRT’s new chief executive officer and executive director. She is the sixth person to lead the Society in its 102-year history.
Dr. Pergola will play a key role in establishing the strategic vision and short and long term goals for ASRT. In addition, she serves as the CEO of the ASRT Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the ASRT.
Her immediate goals include heightening the recognition of medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals, building on ASRT’s history of advocating for the profession and ensuring that ASRT is recognized as the premier professional association for the radiologic technology community.
