Konica Minolta Healthcare and NewVue have partnered to offer the EmpowerSuite Radiology Workflow Orchestrator and Command Center on Konica's Exa Platform with the goal of enhancing radiology workflows.
"With Exa being one of the fastest-growing PACS / RIS platforms in the U.S., it was imperative to us that we found a partner who not only deeply understands radiology workflow, but also has a technical solution that is highly secure and scalable for our customers," Kevin Chlopecki, chief operating officer of Konica Minolta Healthcare HCIT, told HCB News.
He added that NewVue's longtime leadership in the radiology workflow space will better help them in understanding and solving their customers' workflow problems. Adding EmpowerSuite to Exa will allow them to consolidate and normalize multiple disparate workflow systems, which ultimately improves a radiologist's job satisfaction.

EmpowerSuite leverages AI to tailor worklists based on an individual radiologist's preferences and clinical priorities, which reduces the time they spend managing tasks manually. It creates a more intuitive, enjoyable user experience and allows them to more accurately manage high volumes of complex imaging data with less effort.
The Exa platform features its Zero Footprint viewer, which allows radiologists to instantly interact with their patient's images from any computer with no downloads, plugins or installations required. It also utilizes server-side rendering technology, meaning the server is doing the work instead of the individual workstation.
"Together, these technologies streamline case prioritization, automate routine processes, and reduce the need for repetitive tasks, allowing radiologists to focus on complex diagnostic work rather than administrative burdens," said Kyle Lawton, CEO of NewVue.
