As Cone Health Vice President of Construction, Facilities and Real Estate, Michael Owen will make sure medical services are in the right places for the growing numbers of people needing them. Cone Health has more than 120 doctor’s offices, 11 urgent cares and six MedCenters in five counties. It also owns a substantial portfolio of real estate throughout the Triad. To meet Cone Health’s goal of spreading value-based care, locations will need to be close to where people live, work and shop.

Owen is an accomplished health care executive with expertise in facilities management, planning and construction, real estate development and sustainability. Most recently, he was the vice president of facilities development and construction management for Community Health Network in Indianapolis. Prior to that, he was the vice president of real estate, facilities planning and construction at Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, New York.

Owen earned his MBA from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, and bachelor's degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives®.
