Gentuity LLC, a Sudbury, Massachusetts-based developer of intravascular imaging devices, has entered into a collaboration with GE HealthCare to broaden the distribution and integration of its cardiovascular imaging technologies.

Under the agreement, the companies plan to pursue co-marketing activities and technical integration of their respective platforms. GE HealthCare will also evaluate adding Gentuity’s products to its U.S. distribution network.

Gentuity’s portfolio includes the High-Frequency OCT Imaging System, a mobile console that uses machine learning for rapid setup and high-resolution vessel imaging, and the Vis-Rx Prime Micro-Imaging Catheter, a 1.8F device designed to assess vessels before and after percutaneous coronary intervention procedures.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to expand our relationship with GE HealthCare and look forward to bringing our advanced imaging solutions to a broader range of healthcare providers,” said Desmond Adler, president of Gentuity. “Our industry best serves our physicians and patients when we thoughtfully combine complementary technologies in a way that amplifies their individual impact, and we see this collaboration as an important enabling step in that direction.”

Founded in 2015, Gentuity develops imaging platforms that integrate artificial intelligence and ergonomic design to reduce operator workload during procedures. The company says its approach aims to improve procedural outcomes while extending the clinical and cost benefits of intravascular imaging to more patients.

“At GE HealthCare, we strive to tell the story of the heart through technologies that help diagnose, treat and monitor cardiovascular conditions,” said Jyoti Gera, CEO of cardiovascular and interventional solutions at GE HealthCare. “This joint initiative with Gentuity supports this mission and reflects our shared commitment to delivering high-quality medical devices that enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.”
