Elekta has announced a series of leadership changes, including the appointment of Klara Eiritz as chief financial officer. Eiritz will replace Tobias Hägglöv, who is set to depart following a transition period. She is expected to assume the role no later than March 2026.

The Stockholm-based radiation therapy company is also undergoing structural changes that will see its regional operations report directly to president and CEO Jakob Just-Bomholt. As part of this shift, chief commercial officer Habib Nehme will step down. In a related move, chief people officer Anna Conneryd Lundgren will also leave the company. A search is underway to identify her successor.

“Since June, I have spent a lot of time listening to colleagues and customers, as well as analyzing our current state. My conclusion is that Elekta’s recent performance does not reflect the company’s full potential,” said Just-Bomholt in a statement.

He added that the restructuring is aimed at “strengthening Elekta’s leadership capability and aligning our structure with our strategic ambitions,” and emphasized that the streamlined reporting model is intended to improve commercial execution and responsiveness to customers and patients.

Eiritz joins Elekta with prior financial leadership roles at Sandvik, Ericsson, and Volvo Construction Equipment. According to the company, her experience will be central to improving profitability.

“I look forward to welcoming Klara Eiritz to Elekta. With her strong credentials and capabilities, Klara will be an excellent partner in leading Elekta forward,” said Just-Bomholt. “I am confident she will play a key role in enabling us to deliver on our full potential and very much look forward to our collaboration.”

Just-Bomholt also acknowledged the outgoing executives, thanking them “for their contributions during important and challenging phases of Elekta’s development.”
