Accuray has introduced a new radiotherapy platform designed to simplify the use of adaptive techniques in clinical practice. The Accuray Stellar solution, unveiled ahead of the 2025 ASTRO Annual Meeting, is initially being launched in the U.S. and builds on the company's existing Radixact treatment delivery system.

The company said the Stellar configuration integrates a suite of software and hardware tools that support a range of radiotherapy delivery methods, including IMRT, SBRT, and SGRT. The system is intended to help clinicians manage both standard cases, such as breast, prostate, lung, and head and neck cancers, as well as more complex treatments like total marrow irradiation.

“Our goal with Accuray Stellar is to provide tools that make it simple, fast and practical for medical teams to adopt adaptive radiotherapy techniques where needed, regardless of the stage of the patient’s cancer journey,” said Suzanne Winter, president and CEO of Accuray.

The platform includes support for real-time motion correction via the company’s Synchrony technology, as well as offline and online adaptive workflows. The company also introduced Adapt LTE, a new feature powered by Accuray Cenos, which allows clinicians to evaluate past treatment plans against original objectives. This retrospective analysis tool is designed for training and post-treatment review to aid clinical decision-making.

ClearRT, the company’s helical kVCT imaging system, provides the imaging foundation for Stellar. According to Accuray, the technology enables acquisition of high-resolution images quickly, aiming to enhance visibility of tumors and nearby anatomy during treatment planning and delivery.

The Stellar solution was featured at Accuray’s booth during ASTRO 2025.
