The first Philips Azurion image-guided therapy system is being installed this week at Kediri Regency General Hospital in Kediri, East Java, marking an important step in the initiative between Indonesia’s Ministry of Health and Philips to expand access to advanced, minimally invasive treatment across the country.
“The collaboration between Philips and the Ministry of Health supports our shared goal of bringing advanced treatment closer to where people live,” said Astri Ramayanti Dharmawan, President Director of Philips Indonesia. “With this first installation now complete, we are one step closer to ensuring that every patient – regardless of location – can access the care they need, when minutes matter most.”
The Azurion platform allows clinicians to perform complex procedures with real-time imaging, improving precision while reducing recovery times and hospital stays. Since its global introduction in 2017, Philips Azurion system has been used to treat over 6.4 million patients each year in more than 80 countries.
