Beacon Health System has entered into a multi-year Prime Vendor agreement with Medline to standardize its laboratory supply chain across all 11 hospitals in its network.
The deal, finalized in June 2025, expands on an existing partnership between the Indiana-based health system and the Northfield, Illinois-based supplier, covering a broader range of products and services focused on lab operations.
Under the agreement, Medline will serve as the primary supplier of laboratory products while also offering supply chain support aimed at streamlining procurement and logistics systemwide.

“This agreement with Medline positions us to drive meaningful product standardization across our 11 hospitals, which translates to improved efficiency and cost management,” said Ashley McDaniel, director of supply chain operations at Beacon Health System. “By consolidating multiple vendors into one strategic partnership, we’re creating a more resilient supply chain that allows our clinical teams to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.”
Beacon operates hospitals and healthcare facilities across northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. The new arrangement is designed to reduce vendor variability, improve inventory control, and increase operational consistency within Beacon’s laboratory operations.
Marc Phillips, Medline’s senior vice president of supply chain solutions, said, “This agreement signals Medline’s commitment to supporting Beacon’s efforts to standardize care practices and support operational efficiencies through our supply chain offerings to help drive their success.”
The agreement builds on Medline’s broader efforts to expand its Prime Vendor footprint by offering both product distribution and supply chain consulting services. Medline, which operates globally in more than 100 countries, supplies medical-surgical products and services across a range of care settings.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
