Agito Medical, a provider of imaging equipment and service across Europe, has acquired Goring Medical Projects Ltd (GMP), a U.K.-based provider of technical support and project management services for diagnostic imaging equipment.
The deal expands Agito’s capabilities across the imaging equipment life cycle, adding GMP’s technical expertise in installation, relocation and project oversight.
"Strategically, it moves us further from being seen purely as an equipment supplier and more clearly into a full life cycle partner," Bjoern Gerhardt, director of technical operations, told HCB News. "The value is not only in the scanner itself, but in ensuring that deployment, replacement, and integration are managed to a new industry standard."

GMP will continue to operate under its existing brand within the Agito Medical Group. The companies said day-to-day operations, customer contacts and existing agreements will remain in place. Customers will continue working with their current GMP teams following the transaction.
Founded in 2004 in Denmark, AGITO is a provider of mobile rental solutions and supplier of pre-owned imaging equipment and spare parts to the healthcare industry. The
company was acquired from Philips by private equity firm Duke Street in 2024.
"In practical terms, [the GMP acquisition] significantly reduces complexity and risks for hospitals," Gerhardt added. "Rather than coordinating multiple vendors across procurement, engineering, installation, and service, they can now work with one accountable partner who takes ownership end-to-end."
Rather than compete for maintenance contracts, Agito operates in a partnership model, focusing on value-driven asset strategy, project execution and life cycle optimization.
For GMP, the acquisition is seen as an opportunity to grow and expand upon existing capabilities.
“Goring Medical Projects are delighted to be acquired and joining the Agito Group,” said Wayne Goring of Goring Medical Projects, in a statement. “Our core values and cultures are aligned, always ensuring patients and customers are our top priority, and having a positive impact on the medical imaging industry. Coming together unlocks new opportunities for growth and the expansion of services in a rapidly evolving and demanding market. Our partnership will offer more solutions and opportunities for our valued customers.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
