The Chicago-based GE HealthCare has introduced a new generation of LOGIQ general imaging ultrasound systems, adding artificial intelligence features, updated liver assessment tools and an expanded open platform for third-party applications.
The portfolio includes the LOGIQ E10 Series, LOGIQ Fortis and LOGIQ Totus systems. All feature the company’s Verisound Digital architecture and AI-enabled tools designed to automate measurements and standardize exams. The systems will be showcased at the European Congress of Radiology, scheduled for March 4–7 in Vienna.
Among the clinical updates is Ultrasound-Guided Fat Fraction, or UGFF, a tool intended to support assessment of liver fat. Fatty liver disease affects an estimated 40% of the global population and is often undiagnosed, according to published studies. Ultrasound remains a primary modality for evaluating liver changes. GE HealthCare said UGFF is designed to provide more consistent quantification of liver fat to help clinicians monitor progression and guide management decisions.

Workflow automation is a central focus of the release. The new Auto Abdominal Suite 2.0, available on the LOGIQ E10 Series and LOGIQ Fortis, adds tools including Auto Abdominal Color Assistant 2.0, Auto Aorta Measure Assistant, and Auto CBD Measure Assistant. When used with Scan Assistant, the company said the tools demonstrated 65% faster measurements and 80% fewer system interactions in internal testing.
“Meeting the demands of modern healthcare requires forward-thinking innovation, and redefining what ultrasound can deliver — today and into the future — is central to that mission,” said Karley Yoder, CEO, comprehensive care ultrasound, advanced visualization solutions, GE HealthCare.
The systems also expand GE HealthCare’s open digital platform, allowing integration of third-party applications and on-scanner ViewPoint reporting in select configurations. The LOGIQ ultrasound systems are 510(k) cleared and CE marked, with availability varying by market and configuration.
