GE HealthCare has introduced MIM Anyware, a browser-based platform that provides remote access to medical imaging data and the company's MIM software portfolio without requiring software installation on local devices.
The platform is designed to give authorized users secure, healthcare system-controlled access to imaging applications from virtually any location while supporting collaboration among clinicians reviewing the same case. According to the company, multiple users, including physicians, medical physicists and dosimetrists, can simultaneously access a shared MIM session to review image registrations, evaluate dose information and perform routine clinical workflows in real time.
GE HealthCare said the platform is intended to address challenges associated with growing imaging volumes and traditional remote access methods that rely on dedicated workstations or require significant IT infrastructure. By operating through a web browser, MIM Anyware is designed to support multidisciplinary collaboration across departments and between organizations.

"Remote access platforms like MIM Anyware can help healthcare systems securely share imaging data with external collaborators, making it easier to seek expert input and support multidisciplinary consultation beyond a single organization," said Jérémy Godart, a medical physicist at Erasmus MC. "This can also create educational opportunities for medical students to explore, discuss and learn from real clinical cases."
GE HealthCare said the platform is expected to support a range of oncology workflows, including consultations, referrals, tumor board meetings and education, where treatment decisions often involve multiple specialists.
The announcement also included updates to two existing MIM software products. MIM Maestro now includes a workflow for reirradiation and composite dose assessment, allowing clinicians to visualize prior radiation treatment plans on current patient anatomy while accounting for radiobiological effects. The company also introduced MIM Contour ProtégéAI+ 2.0, adding a magnetic resonance brain model and an updated computed tomography male pelvis model for AI-assisted contouring.
The vendor-neutral MIM software portfolio supports applications in radiation oncology, radiology, nuclear medicine, theranostics, interventional radiology and urology.
