MELVILLE, NEW YORK, September 22, 2005 -- FONAR Corporation announced today that it has sold and installed an Upright^TM MRI in Tampa, Florida to STAND-UP MRI of Tampa, the 14th unit sold in the state.

Numerous physicians have said that they hold the Upright MRI in high regard because a diagnosis may often only be made in the weight-bearing position of pain or symptom. No other MRI offers a comparable level of comfort to the FONAR Upright MRI and now the experience is available to the people living in the city of Tampa."
