Orlando will be the host city for the 45th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), May 29-June 2. The theme for this year's event is "Personalizing Cancer Care," a more holistic approach to the stages of treatment.

Featured will be several Phase III studies regarding the standard of care for those living with cancer. The studies are expected to lead to advanced research. More than 4,000 abstracts have been submitted, accepted and posted on the organization's website.

Areas of care in which research will be highlighted include gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer, and women's cancers. Additional discussion will cover personalized medicine and clinical challenges.
