James Gant, owner,
KNJ Tech Service
When
James Gant started Monticello, Ind.-based KNJ Tech Service in 2005, it had just two employees and a handful of customers. Today, the company known for installs and de-installs of medical equipment has grown by leaps and bounds.
"Those first customers were impressed with the work performed, the cost, and with KNJ's employees," says Gant. "They passed our name on to others who were also satisfied. By the end of 2006, our workload had increased tremendously. It was at that time, KNJ Tech Service needed to hire additional employees to keep up with the increasing number of customers."

In 2009, the company made it to DOTmed's top 100 list and also became ISO 9001 certified. Their seven employees have over 30 years of combined experience in the installation and de-installation of medical equipment.
KNJ specializes in the de-installation of medical x-ray equipment, and works with advanced modalities such as MRI, CT, Bone Densitometers, Mammo, R/F rooms, Nuclear Cams, Cysto rooms, and Cath Labs (floor mounts, ceiling mounts, and bi-planes).
"Our policy is to provide our customers with services which meet requirements, including customer specifications, delivered when required and without unplanned cost," Gant says. "Our employees are empowered to control and improve the processes of the business to achieve customer satisfaction."
Gant has been thrilled with how the company has grown in just five years and is prepared to add more staff in the third quarter of 2009.
"Business has been increasing quite rapidly over the past couple of years. In 2008 KNJ Tech Service did approximately 360 jobs. In June, we were close to meeting that number already."
