Race for the Cure 5K Run

Milwaukee, WI -- On Sunday September 27, 2009 Alpha Source, Inc. employees will participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K Run / Walk. Ending at the Milwaukee Lakefront with a Survivor Procession and Recognition Program, all proceeds raised will support the Milwaukee Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

Sporting their custom designed shirt that reads, 'Alpha Source, Power for the Cure', Alpha Source employees are helping the Milwaukee Affiliate meet their 2009 participation and fundraising goal of 14,000 runners and walkers and $1,250,000. Proceeds raised will go toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education, cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women.

"Alpha Source was founded in Milwaukee, WI and so we find it important to give back to the local community and support medical research efforts. The Milwaukee Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation is a great organization doing a lot of good and we are excited about doing our part to contribute to their mission," said Kendra Hill, Alpha Source Marketing Manager.
