RadNet has acquired See-Mode Technologies, a Singapore-based developer of AI tools for ultrasound imaging.
The deal brings See-Mode’s FDA-cleared software for thyroid and breast ultrasound into RadNet’s DeepHealth platform, with the goal of expanding AI adoption across RadNet’s national network of imaging centers.
The Palo Alto, California-based DeepHealth will integrate See-Mode’s software, which automates the detection, characterization, and reporting of thyroid nodules and breast lesions, into its broader population health solutions. RadNet, headquartered in Los Angeles, operates more than 400 outpatient imaging centers in eight states.

According to RadNet CEO Dr. Howard Berger, See-Mode’s software has already been deployed in select centers, showing a measurable impact on scan times and workflow. “Early deployment of See-Mode’s FDA-approved thyroid ultrasound AI across a portion of our imaging centers has demonstrated up to a 30% reduction in scan time,” he said, citing efficiency gains from automated reporting tools. He added that the technology could help improve patient access by increasing capacity across RadNet’s 900-plus ultrasound units.
Berger also noted that reimbursement pathways are already in place for many thyroid exams and that RadNet performs about 250,000 of these annually. The company expects to broaden the scope of AI applications to breast ultrasound and eventually across its entire ultrasound volume, which exceeds 2 million studies each year.
See-Mode cofounder Dr. Milad Mohammadzadeh called ultrasound “complex, time-consuming, and high-volume — exactly where AI can make a difference,” emphasizing the scale advantage offered by RadNet and DeepHealth’s data infrastructure.
DeepHealth president and CEO Kees Wesdorp said See-Mode’s tools will complement existing AI offerings in lung, prostate, and brain imaging. “The technology and the team’s expertise will be the basis for future AI-powered ultrasound solutions,” he said.
