Andover, Mass.-- Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG; AEX: PHI) revealed clinical results from its revolutionary GEMINI TF PET/CT and introduced its enhanced JETStream Workspace version 3.0, featuring new image processing, displayed and analysis tools at the 53rd Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) annual meeting in San Diego (held June 3-7). The time-of-flight PET/CT system and JETStream Workspace version 3.0 were showcased along with Philips complete nuclear medicine portfolio during the show. Philips GEMINI TF is the first PET/CT system to market that features TruFlight technology, utilizing time-of-flight PET reconstruction, creating a new benchmark in spatial resolution and sensitivity. With three systems currently installed and performing clinical validation, new data confirms that TruFlight improves image quality, consistency and performance * regardless of patient size. The technology enables small lesion detectability, which helps detect disease in its earliest stages, and permits higher levels of patient throughput, shortening exam time, allowing greater comfort for patients and increasing efficiency for busy departments. Full commercial release of the GEMINI TF is expected by the end of June 2006.

"Our company and the PET/CT team have been on a mission the past three years to deliver best in class clinical performance and enable Philips customers to provide the best possible patient care. GEMINI TF is the fulfillment of that vision," said Ian Farmer, senior vice president, Nuclear Medicine, for Philips Medical Systems.

Philips also announced an enhanced version of the JETStream Workspace, an integrated, personalized workflow management solution for nuclear medicine. The system is designed for fast, simple workflow for technologists and physicians * helping them to process with speed, diagnose with confidence and accuracy, convey results to referring physicians quickly and conveniently, and run a practice more effectively.
