VANTAGE ONCOLOGY ANNOUNCES JOINT VENTURE WITH VALLEY RADIOTHERAPY ASSOCIATES MEDICAL GROUP TO FORM HOLY CROSS RADIATION THERAPY

MISSION HILLS, Calif. - In its continued efforts to provide innovative radiation therapy treatment to cancer patients in the Los Angeles County, Vantage Oncology, a Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based developer and operator of state-of-the-art radiation oncology centers, has announced a joint venture with Valley Radiotherapy Associates Medical Group, Inc. (VRA) to form Holy Cross Radiation Therapy Center. The facility is located at 15031 Rinaldi Street, Mission Hills, CA 91345. The center opened under VRA/Vantage Oncology management on Monday, September 4, 2012.

As part of the joint venture agreement, Vantage Oncology will provide operations management and funding for facility and technology upgrades to support the center's efforts to provide academic quality cancer care in a patient-friendly environment.

The Center's radiation oncology services will be spearheaded by a highly trained and experienced clinical team of board certified Radiation Oncologists. Medical Director Nancy A. Ellerbroek, MD, FASTRO, FACR brings extensive clinical expertise, research, and familiarity with the community. Robert Zimmerman, MD, medical director at the Santa Clarita Radiation Therapy Center and Lauren VanderSpek, MD, will also practice at this center.

Patients will also have access to today's most advanced and clinically proven radiotherapy technologies. The center boasts innovative technologies including CT Simulation for imaging and planning, Varian RapidArc™, Intensity Modulated and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IMRT/IGRT).
