"The Welch Allyn 1500 Monitor has so many outstanding features in such a contemporary design," said Steven Kelley, president & CEO at Ellenville Regional Hospital. "It provides everything our clinicians need to help them make good decisions quickly so they can focus on their most important task-enhancing patient care."
The 1500 Monitor, with Oridion® Microstream® capnography technology, has the ability to monitor end tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO2) on both intubated and non-intubated patients from neonate to adult. By monitoring expiratory carbon dioxide the clinician can assess both oxygenation and ventilation of the patient, allowing them to monitor a patient's respiratory status in circumstances such as procedural sedation, opioid delivery, or on critically ill patients.
In addition, the 1500 Patient Monitor features a 15-inch color LCD display-the largest in its class-with a 170 degree vertical and horizontal viewing angle that allows clinicians to see patient data clearly from virtually anywhere in the hospital room. Furthermore, its compact size, including a footprint that is only three-inches deep, means it can be placed almost anywhere without disruption.
"We are excited to be able to provide a flexible monitoring solution to the clinicians at Ellenville Regional that will help them enhance decision-making and improve patient safety," said Doug Linquest, senior vice president, Global Marketing at Welch Allyn. "These monitors provide simple, easy-to-interpret patient data that is clearly visible and can be accurately interpreted right at the bedside."
Vital Signs Parameters
The 1500 Patient Monitor offers the basic vital signs parameter and has optional features that allow for monitoring high-acuity patient parameters including a 12-lead electrocardiograph (ECG) capability with the option to add diagnostic interpretations, Mortara® arrhythmia and ST segment analysis on the monitor, Cardiac Output with Hemodynamic Calculations and Oridion® Microstream® capnography technology. Also included are Nellcor® or Masimo® RainbowTM SET SpO2, temperature, heart and pulse rate, respiration (including apnea monitoring), two invasive blood pressure lines and a noninvasive blood pressure line compatible with Welch Allyn FlexiPort® cuff technology.
