NeuroLogica, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics America Inc., and Stryker Corporation, have inked a deal to sell NeuroLogica's portable CT scanner along with Stryker's surgical navigation platform.

The partnership is intended to offer a turnkey surgical solution. NeuroLogica's BodyTom portable CT is marketed as a point-of-care scanner that can be used in the OR for the specialties of neurosurgery, spine surgery, orthopaedic surgery and trauma surgery. It's also being used to guide minimally invasive procedures. Stryker, a medical technology company, will offer its NAV3i Surgical Navigation Platform with NeuroLogica's portable CT.

"We are excited to partner with NeuroLogica to provide streamlined and integrated surgical solutions to our customers that will enhance the surgeon experience and simplify the purchasing process for hospitals," said Derek Babin, director of marketing for Stryker Navigation, in a statement.
NeuroLogica said it will turn its focus to the development of new markets and clinical applications for BodyTom along with its other portable imaging solutions, CereTom and inSPira HD.
