Internal Medicine
The Internal Medicine Residency Program began at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1946. It has an established physician education program that is academically rigorous but different from traditional University programs. The program has prided itself on the training of physicians competent in practicing adult medicine who have also developed special skills necessary to practice in the current and emerging practice environment, including knowledge of population-based care, quality measurement and improvement, information management and technology, and teamwork and collaboration.
