In keeping with its theme "Radiology Reimagined," GE launched new CT and MRI developments. GE strives to create an"early health" model of care focused on earlier diagnosis, pre-symptomatic disease detection and disease prevention.

LightSpeed VCT XT Scanner is the latest addition to the Lightspeed series. This machine reduces a patient’s radiation exposure by up to 70 percent for diagnostic cardiac scans. It builds on the foundation of GE’s advanced CT platform, capable of capturing images of the heart and coronary arteries in as few as five heartbeats. LightSpeed includes hardware and enhanced applications that will allow users to add the clinical value of volume CT by providing new capabilities for imaging the heart, head, and other body parts.

Perfusion 4 Neuro provides quick and reliable assessment of the type and extent of cerebral perfusion disturbances by providing qualitative and quantitative information on various perfusion-related parameters such as regional blood flow, regional blood volume, mean transit time, capillary permeability and Tissue Classification Index.


Enhancing the way clinicians can evaluate women for breast cancer, the Senographe Essential features a 24 x 31 cm detector size and offers the largest active field of view in the industry. The foundation is GE’s advanced digital detector, which at low doses delivers the industry's highest Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE) - the new standard for quantifying digital X-ray image quality.

On the MRI front…

VIBRANT (volume imaging for breast assessment) high definition technology enables a non-invasive imaging procedure of both breasts simultaneously, in a single patient visit.

Developed in collaboration with Sentinelle Medical, the Vanguard system is dedicated breast imaging and intervention patient table, for use with GE Healthcare’s Signa HD 1.5T MR scanners to help achieve exemplary image quality, improved access to tissue for intervention and a high level of comfort for patients.

The MR-guided intra-operative surgical suite is a comprehensive portfolio of neuro-imaging solutions that use three-dimensional imaging to navigate and validate treatments to help increase both the accuracy and speed of interventions while improving patient outcomes.

The Signa HDx 3.0T MR system has new parallel imaging, a new reconstruction engine and extensive advanced XV applications that help surgeons differentiate between healthy tissue and abnormal tissue.
