Kodak increased
prices on all
medical imaging films.
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 18 -- Eastman Kodak Company’s Health Group announced immediate price increases worldwide on all its medical imaging films and related supplies. This is the second such action Kodak has taken in 2006.

Kodak cited continued high costs of raw materials, especially silver, as the primary reason for the current and former price hikes.

The current increases range from percent to 12 percent, but vary depending on products and markets around the world.

“This year has seen unprecedented high costs for basic commodities such as silver. These costs continue to escalate,” said Kevin Hobert, President of Kodak’s Health Group. “This situation requires an additional price increase to maintain production of the high-quality film products our customers expect. We’ve made great strides in reducing waste, improving productivity, and streamlining our manufacturing operations. However, this is a step that we must take to keep pace with rising raw material costs.”

Details surrounding the new prices will be communicated locally in each country. In the interim, customers who have questions can contact their local Kodak sales representative. For more information, please visit http://www.kodak.com.
