Insight Imaging has acquired the assets of LG Medical Technologies as part of an agreement to expand its mobile fleet of MR and CT systems.
The purchase places Insight Imaging in control of LG Medical’s 27 mobile diagnostic imaging units and expands its presence throughout the country, while enhancing its capabilities.
"Our technology ... was a great fit for their fleet base, to complement what they were doing in the industry to provide the best services for their customers," Jim Gallagher, president of LG Medical, told HCB News.

As part of the agreement, LG Medical will consolidate its headquarters with Insight's in Minnesota.
The two companies assert that the acquisition will build on their shared outlook on customer service, and that their customer bases are excited about the business deal and the broader base it will create.
"It’s just a great fit," Steve Richter, general manager at Insight Imaging, told HCB News. "Very similar philosophies of how we want to go to market in customer service."
Insight Imaging provides imaging technology to more than 300 hospitals throughout the U.S., and in 2015 was named the
preferred provider for mobile interim services by Siemens Healthcare. GE also rated the company its
preferred provider in 2013.
The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
