2007 Health Information
and Technology Week,
November 4-10.
CHICAGO - The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) has developed an educational planning kit for the 2007 Health Information and Technology (HI&T) Week, November 4 -10. AHIMA has annually sponsored this celebration since 1989 to recognize the work of health information management professionals whose responsibility is to maintain and protect the health information of American consumers.

Healthcare facilities across America have joined AHIMA in celebrating HI&T week to raise health information awareness as it relates to this year's theme-- "Accuracy you can count on, information you can trust."

"We wanted to capture the true essence of what our members bring to the table of healthcare service that makes the system stronger and, ultimately, better," said AHIMA CEO Linda Kloss, RHIA, FAHIMA. "Our message of awareness and dignity has spread from coast-to-coast; educating healthcare professionals and consumers alike on the importance of the people and practices upon which the health information management profession stands."
