IAMERS is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Powers, MBA, AAMIF, CDP, Clinical Engineering Director at Intermountain Healthcare, to the IAMERS Board of Directors.
IAMERS President Diana Upton noted: “Mike is a healthcare industry leader. He brings a wealth of experience and team building to the IAMERS Board with his clinical engineering experience at Intermountain Health care and from his prior experience at Christiana Care. We look forward to Mike continuing to share his HDO insights and guidance—always offered with due modesty and good humor.”
Mike is a member of the AAMI Fellows Class of 2022 and currently a co-lead of the ‘Cybersecurity of Legacy Medical Devices Task Group’ of the Healthcare and Public Health Sector Coordinating Council. A former non-commissioned officer in the United States Navy, Mike has been recognized for his mentorship of employees and for his contributions to industry standards groups including as a contributor on Manufacturer Disclosure Statements for Medical Device Security.
