"The 100μm pixel pitch provides a higher resolution image for improved image details and allows for image magnification. Higher definition allows for clearer views and provides clinicians a higher level of diagnostic confidence," Jill Hamman, worldwide marketing manager of global X-ray solutions at Carestream, told HCB News.
Sizes include 35x43 cm and 43x43 cm, and both have an IP56 rating for better protection against dust and fluid ingress. Because the 43x43 cm detector is the larger of the two, it is somewhat better for imaging large body parts or bariatric patients.
Both utilize a Cesium (CsI) scintillator that works well when applied in exams of dose-sensitive pediatric patients, and ImageView Software powered by Eclipse for fast and accurate image-processing capabilities.
Eclipse utilizes proprietary algorithms and AI to increase the value of the entire imaging chain, while Carestream’s imaging and workflow intelligence solutions boost clarity, optimize dose, and enhance workflow efficiency.
