Stephany Jacques, RN, has been named president of Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital.

Last May, Jacques was promoted to interim president of the two Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) critical access hospitals.

Prior to her interim president position, she served in nursing and leadership roles for 15 years at Central Maine Healthcare. She joined CMH in 2009, first in a clinical role in oncology, before becoming practice manager and regional director of primary care and specialty services. Her wealth of experience in CMH specialty clinics will continue to be one of Stephany’s many strengths, as she leans into the future of rural healthcare and the changing needs of our patients.
“To the surprise of no one, Stephany has not only excelled, but thrived in this role,” said Steve Littleson, president and CEO, Central Maine Healthcare. “Building on lifelong relationships in the River Valley and Lakes Region, and bolstered by her professional credentials, she quickly assessed the needs of the communities, rolled up her sleeves and got to work building bridges, connecting with civic leaders, business partners, patients and team members alike.”

“In transitioning to the permanent role, I am committed to continuing to increase specialty services close to home with reliable, high-quality care,” Jacques said. “As a native of the River Valley community, my passion is to serve alongside the teams at Bridgton and Rumford Hospitals to provide care to these two very special communities.

Central Maine Healthcare Board of Directors member Marney Chalmers said, “With more than 15 years of leadership, Stephany has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our communities, leading with care and compassion that will undoubtedly enhance the healthcare experience within the Bridgton and Rumford Hospitals. Since acting as interim president, Stephany has been actively engaging with community members, listening to what people have to say in order to ensure the hospital is addressing the health needs of the community. I look forward to the continued leadership and care Stephany will bring to our town.”
