GE HealthCare appoints chief people officer

Chicago – May 29, 2024 – GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC) announced today that it has named Adam Holton as Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead the company’s Human Resources (HR) organization.

“Adam has the right mix of leadership, HR expertise, and people focus to help enable business growth and drive our culture forward,” said Peter Arduini, GE HealthCare Chief Executive Officer. “His experience leading HR teams spans a variety of global companies and industries, including healthcare, and it will help us further serve our people, patients, and customers.”

Holton has more than 20 years of HR leadership experience across global companies, including previously at General Electric (GE) and GE Healthcare when it was a business unit of GE. He joins GE HealthCare most recently from Amedisys, where he led the design and execution of people strategies as Chief People Officer for the 19,000-employee home health company. Prior to that role, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Numotion, a provider of complex rehab technology; Senior Vice President of Human Resources at USAA, a financial services company; and CHRO at CHS Inc., a Fortune-100 agricultural service cooperative. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade in multiple HR leadership and organizational design leadership roles at GE Healthcare and GE. Holton is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Holton serves on the board of directors for Sierra Delta, a non-profit organization that supports military service members and veterans with physical and emotional needs through the healing power of dogs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political sciences from the United States Naval Academy.
