After an extensive search that drew 77 applicants, BMHD Administration is pleased to announce that Misty Robertson has accepted the position as the new CEO of Blue Mountain Hospital District.
Misty brings a wealth of leadership experience to our organization. Her leadership career began as Director of Emergency and Critical Care, eventually advancing into Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) roles at both Critical Access and larger hospitals. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at St. Luke’s Nampa Medical Center and Fruitland Medical Center. Throughout her career, Misty has remained focused on improving quality, safety, and the overall patient experience.
Academically, Misty holds a Master of Science in Health Services Administration and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Leadership. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. A lifelong learner, she is passionate about developing future leaders and has mentored countless professionals throughout her career. Misty also teaches as an adjunct professor in both the Nursing and MBA programs at Boise State University.

A native of the Boise area, Misty has expressed a strong desire to relocate to Grant County, drawn by a deep appreciation for rural communities and a love for country living – complete with her cattle and various other animals.
In both our conversations with her and in speaking to her colleagues, Misty was consistently described as a thoughtful, collaborative leader – someone who listens well, asks insightful questions, and brings the right people together to solve problems.
She is looking forward to settling into the community, purchasing land, and beginning this new chapter.

Misty will transition to her new role over the next two months, with her official start date to be June 25th. Interim CEO Margie Molitor will remain in place to ensure a smooth and thoughtful handoff.
