Insight Surgery, a Houston-based medical technology firm focused on personalized orthopedic surgery, has raised $2.5 million in Series A funding to scale its operations across the U.S.
The investment round was led by New York-based Nodenza Venture Partners and follows recent FDA 510(k) clearance for the company’s patient-specific surgical guides.
The funding will support Insight’s planned national expansion, including the addition of two new manufacturing facilities on the East and West Coasts and a doubling of its U.S. head count. The company currently operates a cleanroom manufacturing site at the Texas Medical Center and holds partnerships with institutions such as Hospital for Special Surgery, University of Chicago Hospitals, University of Florida Health, and UAB in Birmingham.

Insight’s platform, EmbedMed, allows for digital surgical planning and the design of customized guides for orthopedic and orthopedic-oncology procedures. The system processes patient imaging data and supports preoperative simulations. Guides can be delivered to clinicians in digital formats or as physical models within 10 business days, according to the company.
“Insight’s technology makes it possible for me and my colleagues to operate with greater precision and speed, which directly improves outcomes for patients and reduces the likelihood of costly complications,” said Dr. Adam Levin, a musculoskeletal oncology surgeon.
CEO Henry Pinchbeck said the company aims to make personalized surgical tools broadly accessible. “This investment allows us to accelerate our plan to enable every orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. to have easy access to personalized surgical devices within surgically meaningful timelines,” he said.
Nodenza’s managing partner, Ross Morton, said the firm was drawn to Insight’s ability to address a clear clinical need. “Their platform addresses a real need in orthopedic surgery by enabling better outcomes via bespoke products,” he said. “We believe Insight is well-positioned to scale rapidly across the U.S.”
Insight Surgery entered the U.S. market in 2023 and operates from FDA-registered and ISO 13485-certified facilities.
