"Allscripts will arm our physicians with the information they need to enhance the provision of care, regardless of where they are or when they need it," said Jack Campbell, administrator of Longmont Clinic. "Our investment in world class healthcare information technology solutions is another example of our steadfast commitment to the health and well-being of our community."
Founded in 1906, Longmont Clinic is the oldest multi-specialty physician group in northern Colorado, serving nearly 200,000 patients in a growing community 30 miles north of Denver.
"We went through a lengthy evaluation process and looked hard at the marketplace before choosing Allscripts," said Campbell. "We wanted a stable company with a solid track record of success with physician practices our size. And we liked TouchWorks modular architecture, which lets us implement the functionality we need most, get comfortable, and then add more functionality over time."
Campbell plans to interface Allscripts Electronic Health Record with Longmont Clinic's existing practice management system, to share financial, demographic and clinical information across the organization.
