Sometimes, Sequels Are Better

Due to past successes working with DOTmed, Memorial Hermann decided to auction a 1999 Philips Picker Eclipse 1.5T MRI that was not in use at an imaging center they had acquired.

At the conclusion of the first auction cycle, the high bid was $23,000 - far short of their asking price.

Online Auction Specialist Mark Colavecchio and DOTmed Regional Manager Brett Foley were familiar with the top two bidders and placed a call to each. After several calls and verbal offers reaching $33,000, the facility and DOTmed decided to relaunch the auction on a Friday afternoon and have it expire on the following Monday giving each bidder and others ample opportunity to place their bid.
