Merge Healthcare said Friday it wrapped up its purchase of Ophthalmic Imaging Systems, a Sacramento-based maker of eye scanners and medical software.
The Chicago-based radiology IT company said the all-stock deal,
announced in early June, is worth an estimated $30.3 million.
OIS makes the EyeScan imaging modules and, through its subsidiary Abraxas Medical Solutions, electronic medical record and practice management software. Merge said it has around 2,000 client bases, representing 60 percent of major ophthalmic institutions in the United States.
