The American Society of Radiologic Technologists announced Thursday it will publish a quarterly, computed tomography-focused edition of its peer-reviewed scientific journal, Radiologic Technology, beginning with the new January/February issue.
The ASRT said it's publishing the CT edition as a way to fulfill its commitment to offer members access to 12 continuing education credits a year. ASRT members who check CT as their continuing education preference can earn 5 CE credits a year after passing the CT journal's quizzes, the society said.
The ASRT has about 14,000 CT technologist members, and nearly 48,000 radiologic techs in the United States are CT-certified, according to the group's website.
