Siemens Healthcare said Tuesday its analog X-ray system Multix Fusion is now available for sale in the United States. The device, billed as "high-end X-ray technology for smaller budgets," features a 71-inch telescopic column, an examination table that can support up to 660 pounds, a color touch display and an X-tube that synchronizes automatically to the cassette trays. It also comes in a more basic version with just the ceiling-mounted tube and a cassette, Siemens said.
The Multix Fusion made its debut last November at the Radiological Society of North America's 2011 annual meeting.
